We design PreK-12 educational facilities as a place to learn and a place to teach. We closely work with the educators and administrators to create facilities that will enhance their mission to educate students and provide facilities that can be a learning tool as well as a place to learn. We also realize that these buildings are often the most important facility in a community and are often used as a center for many community activities.
DF Gibson Architects has been providing a full range of services to college and university clients for more than 25 years. Our work has inlcuded master plans and feasibility studies, new buildings, additions, renovations and restorations. The buildings have included science and healthcare facilities, classrooms, administrative offices and dining facilities.
More than half of our work is for colleges and universities. With studios dedicated to the design of student centers, hosting, academic buildings, science and technology centers, and master planning, our experience enables us to approach each new project with an unmatched skill-set of campus facilities solutions and best practices.
Developing innovative energy solutions and integrating them with architecture is an area of expertise for the staff of DF Gibson Architects. We explore various energy generation systems – cogeneration, solar, wind, geothermal and others – and architectural systems – walls, roofs and fenestration, etc. – to develop solutions that both reduces a building’s energy consumption, while providing a facility that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. As an architect-led team, we can provide solutions that are holistic and not piece-meal. With our affiliations with major engineering firms, financing sources and energy services organizations, we can support you in designing, building and seeking financing for your energy-related projects.
